This was a very …
This was a very poor demonstration of “proper” grooming of a horse. A curry should be used in small circular motions, not huge wide useless circles shown here, never use the large, hard rubber curry brush below the knee or on the face (small, softer specialty curry combs have been made specifically for the face & lower leg), after the curry you should use a medium stiff “flick” brush to remove dead hair & dirt & then use a soft body brush.. this entire vid is worthless for teaching grooming.

She did a horrible …
She did a horrible job explaining how to use a curry comb. What she should have said is something more like this “This is a curry comb. It’s used for bringing the dirt and loose hairs to the surface of the horse so you can brush them off with a body brush. You move it in circular motions starting at the neck and moving back. You should use it on the body of the horse, you don’t need to use it on the head. You can use a soft, rubbery curry comb on the legs, but never a hard, stiff curry comb.”

Technically, you shouldn’t use a dandy brush on it’s legs, where the bones are. And you should use a proper face brush for the face.
