NOTE!: People, have the common sense to get a trainer and to not just use my technique. This video is mainly just an overview of ONE of the ways to start jumping. When you get more comfortable, go into the 2-point right at the take-off, not before. USE COMMON SENSE AND GET A TRAINER!!!!

This is a video i made on how to jump for beginners! I hope you learn something from it andd it helps! The horse in this video is half blind so he can barely see. I love him soooo much though! The pictures are of us! Thanks!

OMG: I am tired of people giving me CRAP about this video! THIS WAS A LONG TIME AGO! We are all taught differently, AND IT JUST SO HAPPENS THAT THIS WAS HOW I WAS TAUGHT! So DEAL WITH IT!

I dont want any advice or tips, thanks.

anyone telling you that you shouldn’t go into 2-point.. is an idiot.. if you can’t find your balance in the 2-point position at the walk, trot and canter, you shouldn’t be jumping

good video and i do …
good video and i do think beginers should go into 2-point position before the jump because if they are just learning to jump, they will probly not get their timing right to go into position wen they are just about to go over the jump, which could lead to them falling off. so if u r not comfortable with jumping go into 2-point before the jump :D

  15. FinalFurlong1 Says:

    it doesnt teach you …
it doesnt teach you, but it does give u an idea of how to jump, so at least people will know a little bit about position and stuff before they actually do the jump themselves

    Great video :D I …
Great video :D I was taught by my instructor to go into the two point before the jump to get comfortable with it. I’ve been jumping for only a little while now, and I still need to improve my two point, and my landing, lol. I ride a pony, who likes to speed up right before the jump, which is ok in the trot, but if you canter it, he practically gallops it, and the last time I was jumping him, He galloped over the jump (vertical), took a big spot, and we were on a down hill slant…I wiped out, XD
