what horse is a good beginner horse for a first time rider?

I would suggest an older well broke gelding say 10 years plus. Problery a quarter horse. 10 is not to old for a horse!

Definitely a horse on the older side, who has good experience. The youngest I would go is 10. A good breed for a first time rider is a quarter horse. Although it mainly depends on the horses personality.
