Hi, I live in near Werribee and Melbourne and it has been years since I rode a horse and was hoping someone could tell me where I could take some lessons to build my confidence back up and also do I need to have my own horse to take the lessons.
I really want to start riding again so anything you can tell me would be great. I am saving money to be able to buy a beginner horse to learn on again so any tips on that would be really helpful as well.

There are lots of nice places to go riding in and around Melbourne, Geelong and the surfcoast. I suppose it all depends on how far out of Werribee you are.
Taleeho Lodge is a riding centre 5 mins from Werribee.

Koombahla Park Equestrian Centre in Wallington (near Geelong) offers lessons for riders of all levels of experience.
Another idea would be to pop over to the Werribee Park Equestrian Centre & check out the notice boards. There is often the details of riding centres pinned up there.
Also if you are after a really nice ride head down to the surfcoast to one of the many riding schools down there. Seamist, Bimbi Park etc are all down that way and offer wonderful rides (some along the beach)!
