As i said that is not always true. I have known animals that have been gelded in their teens that can after a while be turned out in a mixed herd without any problems.

Once a stallion …
Once a stallion learns a behavior, such as ‘being macho’ including aggressive behavior, they retain that behavior even after they are gelded… Its like a dog marking its territory. If you cut them soon enough, they never learn to do it, if you don’t then they continue to mark.

Except the fact that you have to be careful around mares when you have a stallion. Especially in breeding season. And most mares aren’t bad at all. Some of them just get crabby when they’re in heat.
