How do i find a horses past history i have a horse that was a well known dressage horse his name is enchala?

i have a horse who is around 28 years old. His first owner was a top dressage trainer who used enchala for dressage competitions all over europe, he was then sold to the apprentice of this well known trainer who used him for hunter jumper. Problem is I do not know the name of the trainer or the horses full registered name. His name is Enchala and thats all the information i hve on him. I would really like to know his past history of his dressage competetions etc. He was also on the cover of magazines when he was in his prime and when he was about 9 or 10 he was put out to stud.

do a google search of your horse, if any info comes up google will have it. Go to google search and type in enchala.

i did a google search, they said enchala was a mare. born 1961

    are you sure you didnt get ripped off? you should have gotn at least the horses full registered name not to mention the papers on this horse–have you checked the horses mouth for a tattoo? What is his breed? You could start your search by looking through old publications and you might recognize him from a picture and then you could track down his real name and the previous owner. If he was known by the name Enchala on the dressage circuit then you can always hit some forums or chat rooms and just start asking questions–maybe someone would actually know what horse you are talking about–especially if he was really such a popular horse. Not only this, but also, if this IS a registered horse–then if you did not get the papers with him–this means that he is still registered in someone elses name! You need to go back to whomever you purchased this horse from and start asking some serious questions–someone, somewhere may actually be looking for this horse!
