I can braid his mane fine, but I have problems with his forelock. Also I do not want to cut his forelock.

don’t cut it – that looks dreadful. Either pull it or use a solo comb to shorten it. If you don’t want to shorten it then start at the poll and do a french braid, similar to plaiting the tail, until all the hair is included then plait to the end and roll up.

The only thing that can make it easier on you is to trim his forelock to the bottom lid of his eyes. :)

yep! Louise thats totally right, i had a horse that had a very very long mane, his mane used to reach his shoulders an his forelock came down to his nose! when i showed him i used to do a french braid and include his fringe with his mane.

DONT CUT IT!!!!! ok first everyday comb it. then wash it with mane n tail shampoo and in a couple weeks. it should be longer that before. good luck.

try pulling it if she’ll let your, but DONT CUT IT!!!if you think its took long to pull, then cut it STRAIGHT a little below where you want the legth to be, then pull it.

is there any way you could braid it in with the mane?? just wondering, i have never tried that.

good luck and have fun showing!!

dont cut it!!! use a metal comb and pull it to make it a bit thinner (dw it doesnt hurt) then use a pulling razor, basically it trim the hair carefull while you pull his forelock

    good luck
