Hi – I’ve got a growing obsession with dressage to music. Can anyone link me to some good quality dressage to music videos that have either english commantaries or no commantaries… I only seem to be able to find the naff quality ones on YouTube?

The very best are the freestyle to music from the last 4 Olympics. There are many video/DVDs of these available at Dover, Dressage Extensions, Equine Collections, and many good dressage tackstores.

This is the page from Dressage Extensions: http://www.dressageextensions.com/Search.asp?cat=06_02_04

I have collected many DVD’s and VHS tapes over the years. Not free like can be found on the web, but great to look at over and over.

If you look on youtube and type in olympic dressage to music then it will give you the name of the song and you can also watch the horse and rider in the video to see the movements and the speed of the song. This is what i do and i get good results. It also depends on the speed of your horse, whether he has a long or a short gait, make sure you get the beat that isnt to fast ir to slow for your horse at the begginning and then once you have go the hang of it move onto faster and more testing music, or viceversa. Good luck. :)
