i am an english ride and am going to pony camp, i am not sure what all this means plz help!?

Please i really need to know what a gamgee and muck sack.
Gamgee is a dressing for infected wounds, and can be used as a leg wrap for fetlocks, hocks and tendons.
A muck sack is a square piece of material made from polypropylene, usually, and has handles. Basically, you put all the muck on the square and can pick it up. It’s useful if your horse has done one poo, but isn’t worth taking the wheelbarrow in.
A riding jacket is fitted and neat, in either tweed, black or navy.Get one a size too big so you can wear a body protector underneath.
Spares are just any spare jodhpurs, ts-shirts, etc.
A cross country top is a top that’s usually quartered. It’s your own personal colours, and is likely that no one else at camp will have the same combination.

You should contact the camp and find out what exactly you need and if you are unsure what the items are then you should ask the instructor. Have fun at camp!

A muck sack can just be an old feed sack its just something to put your horses poo in. Gamgee is the padding that goes under bandages for when your horse cuts itself. You can buy it from your tack shop and you should always have some on hand, bandaging without it can cause major tendon damage to the horses leg.

A muck sack is a piece of tarp or burlap (usually) that you clean your horse’s stall onto. You usually tie up the corners, and carry itoff to get dumped.
Gamgee is an absorbent pad, it can be used as a wound dressing, or for support, or to improve circulation. You can usually find it in a first aid kit for horses.
