How much does all of the horse tack cost? bridle, saddle, girth, reins, halter, the lot. I am planning to get my own horse soon so i need to know the costs. thank you to any1 who answers. oh i live in the uk(£)

im in UK too, saddle will cost around 100pounds if second hand of ebay. a lot more if new, my new saddle was over 700pounds :O synthetic saddles are cheaper. you should have a look on the Robinson’s website you can see the prices of all the tack then:

http://www.robinsons-uk.com/

bridles new will cost between 30-60pounds new, a lot less second hand(reins are usually included) but the bit will not. bits vary greatly depending on which bit you want to use, have a look on the site to see the diff bits.

numnahs or saddle cloths usually cost about 10pounds, girths about the same unless you want a fancy one…

head collar(halter) and lead rope between 5-15pounds usually.

but any tack you could possibly want will be on the Robinson’s website so def check that out. but also check ebay once you know what you want you can often get job lots of tack on there quite cheap. :)

well if you just plan on leisure riding then you can get your tack, brushes halter, leadrope and other supplies for like $1200. but if you’re like me and will be riding competitively then that is a whole other story, if thats the case your saddle alone will be over $1200 so if you will be competitive then you will need like $3000. yet again you probably could get away with cheap tack in little shows like county stuff. but that’s all.
