The average weight please.
A quarter palomino
A quarter and I just wanted to know for a project

No one is going to be able to give you an average weight of a palomino very easily as Palominos are a color breed. They accept horses of various breeds, with Quarter Horses, Arabs, Saddlebreds, etc being very common.
Having said that, the average Quarter Horse is anywhere from 1000-1100 pounds, if they stand around 15-15.3hh. You can expect Arabs to be somewhat lighter in weight as they do not have the heavy muscling.
So I suppose if I was going to say the average weight for a Palomino I’d go between 800-1100 pounds. Is that good enough?

Palomino is a coloring, not a breed. You have to be more specific.

Palomino is a color, there can be a pony or a draft that is palomino, and obviously they weigh quite different amounts.

Also, Why do you want to know? (not in a mean way, just wondering)

Average weight of an average horse is 1000-1200 lbs, and that horse could be palomino. (It is a color…so a palomino could be a 30" mini or a huge draft.0

You could be talking about a palomino miniature horse or a palomino thorough bred. Palomino is a colour, not a breed.

well the weight on a palimino would depend on the breed. Is it a quarter horse, tennesse walker, draft, or what? Palimino is a color so that is like asking what is the weight of a blue vehicle.

it’s really going to vary. My paint horse is built like a TB and she’s 16.1 hh and she doesnt weigh as much as the other tall horses in the barn…. It depends on their build.

about that or maybe a little more in the southern hemisphere…
Seriously though,Palomino tend to be a color rather than a breed so it’s going to vary considerably from a draught breed right down to minis

If you mean a Quarter Horse/Palomino, They can range in size from 14.1 hands to 17. hands. 1 hand is 4 inches.
    15.0 = 60 inches.
So you could say a 14.1 hand horse might weigh 800 lbs.
And a 17.0 hand horse might weigh 1300 lbs.
    It can really very.

Palomino is a colouring – light to deep gold, with white mane and tail. They can occur in any almost breed so it is impossible to say how much they weigh.
