Akhal-Teke Dressage Stallion Absent performing Piaffe

The famous dressage horse, Akhal-Teké 668 Absent, seen here in training. His greatest achievement was in 1960 when he won gold for the USSR at the Rome Olympics under Sergey Filatow and received the highest points of any dressage horse at the Olympics to date. Subsequently, he won bronze in 1964 at the Mexico Olympics and then team gold under Ivan Kalita in Tokyo, 1968. Apart from dressage, Absent also had an aptitude for jumping and is said he could jump 1m 70!

Though his breeding career was relatively short, he represents most of line Arab, the other sub branch being through Alam.

KFPS Stallion Ielke 382 Dressage

Ielke 382 and his rider Ester Liano performing a musical freestyle at the Stallion Show in Friesland (Netherlands) January 2007. I am unsure of Ielke’s level at the time of this video, but I think it is Grand Prix (program says he qualifies for the “Heavy Tour”). He was really lovely and I liked the yellow accents. Sorry I missed the very start and very end. His rider was thrilled and at the end petted/praised him for a long time.
